DJ Krush's full-length works have always been a bit hard to swallow given the unyielding predominance of midtempo hip-hop, and his contribution to Cold Krush Cuts, the double-disc Ninja Tunes mix compilation (one disc of Krush, one of Coldcut) is no different. Restricted to using only Ninja Tune artists (DJ Vadim makes eight appearances!), the material is similar-sounding and repetitious -- even more so than DJ Krush's albums.
